While the number of buses is decreasing in Rajasthan roadways, the number of staff running the habitations on the other side is also decreasing. The public lifeline roadways for transport modes in the state are now being reduced. The operation of buses is decreasing due to vacant thousands of posts. If the state Government shows the will, about 5000 youths of the state can be given employment in Rajasthan roadways. Roadways about 6000 personnel have retired in the last six years. 6 years ago, the total number of staff staff of employees and officers in roadways was about 20,000, while now only 14 thousand personnel are left.

The retirement of a large number of driver operators and other staff is affecting the operation of buses. 8893 posts of conductor sanctioned in roadways, out of which 2682 posts are vacant, 1624 posts of Artigen Grade III sanctioned, 889 posts vacant, 1590 posts of Artigen Grade II, 1029 posts are vacant, 54 posts of junior engineer A sanctioned, 49 posts are vacant, 207 posts of Junior Engineer B sanctioned , there are 131 posts vacant, out of 5 sanctioned posts of assistant engineer construction, 4 posts vacant, out of 6 sanctioned posts of junior engineer construction vacant, 36 vacant posts out of 45 sanctioned posts of Junior Law Officer, 18 posts out of 19 sanctioned posts vacant , out of 230 sanctioned posts of junior accountant, 202 posts are vacant, out of 148 sanctioned posts of computer, 64 vacant posts, out of 1081 sanctioned posts of Clerk Grade II, 632 posts are lying vacant.

Government refuses to recruit : Roadways administration has sought permission for recruitment to 4960 posts against 5740 posts lying vacant. Apart from these vacant posts, about 2500 posts of drivers are lying vacant, but the roadways administration has been engaged on driver contract to avoid affecting the operation of buses. In fact, the state Government is not allowing the roadways to recruit because the economic condition of roadways is deteriorating. The roadways will have additional burden on new recruitment.
