Jaipur, 22 November 2019 Today, public and voluntary holidays (Public Holiday in Rajasthan for Year 2020) were announced by the Department of General Administration (Group-6), Jaipur for the calendar year 2020. As per the order issued today, a total of 29 holidays were declared as public holidays and 21 as voluntary holidays. Any two holidays from the list of these voluntary holidays are permitted to be consumed by selecting each employee. The order says that these holidays will be applicable only to government offices, i.e., as per the leave camp Panchang of the Department of Education.
Total 238 working days a year
In the holiday list, it is known that the 29 public holidays announced by the Government are 10 days on Saturdays and Sundays, similarly, the voluntary holidays which have been declared are 11 days on Saturday or Sunday. Considering the holiday list, there is an occasion 12 times in this year when another holiday will be able to consume 3 days ‘ leave continuously on or after saturdays and Sundays.
Out of 365 days throughout the year, all types of holidays will be mixed for about 127 days, i.e., one-third year in recess, thus only about 238 days will the Employees get work. In addition, as in previous years, every Saturday and Sunday has been declared as a normal public holiday and the district collector in each district has been declared as a local fair/local fair.
